Being Private. Publicly.

The way I intend to bring this upon you is very much the way which you might want to bring upon to the rest when it comes to behaving public; Quite sadly, we Indians aren't much bothered about it.
We want to dress good, smell well and appear as pretty(the ladies) or as neat(my folks, the guys !) as possible. But one thing which we most certainly run out of gas on is the fact that there are hardly very few of us who behaves 'well-mannered' when it comes to Restroom Etiquettes.

How many times have you come across a washroom/restroom/bathroom/toilet which smells proper, the seats are clean and the floor isn't wet(obviously i'm NOT talking about water here !) ?
Yes, I'm referring to the same place which all of us here most certainly feel the need of whenever we step out of our houses. Generally. The toilets which we visit before sitting down on the table at a restaurant to eat, because some of us actually have the habit of washing our hands before touching any kind of food.

The seats are yellowed generally, the wet yellow, if you know what I mean. Most of the times the person who'd used the big L the last forgets a simple thing called 'Flush'. A female friend of mine actually suggests her female friends to carry a TP roll in their handbags because half the roll gets used to cover up the whole seat so that you don't end up requiring a bath soon after you take a leak. Quite clever, that girl I must admit.
Guys generally don't mind as they've got the liberty to 'swing in the motion' wherever they want to and feel like; And hence I've seen many walls with quite humourous literature. Some include:

'गधे के पूत यहाँ मत मूत !'
'देखो गधा मूत रहा है !'

Except all this there are plenty of 'men' who go ahead with their act and while indulged in it, find it very amusing to read and laugh on it. Even spitting on the walls, the pan and all the 'spitphillic' things, people don't really mind. We're so used to all this that no one actually bothers.
And that's not just about the guys who're the culprit throughout this post, ladies, you people are equally responsible too. You don't think so? Well, what about those who feel their 'pads' actually decorate the whole place? There's a thing called dustbin. Kindly throw it in their. No one wants to take it away for you, and please have some mercy on the poor toilet cleaner too. Pads have an adhesive strip on the bottom. It's pretty disgusting to see a bloodied pad stuck on the outside of the sanitary bin. Is it so hard to make sure it goes inside the bin? I suggest wrapping your pad in toilet paper before disposing of it.
How hard is it to wipe yourself sitting down so you don't dribble on the seat ? If you do make a mess can't you at least wipe it up with toilet paper? Thanks !

Anyway, this one is a classic. Schools, universities and colleges; What's common between them when it comes to washrooms except the fact that they all look and smell the same? Guesses? No?
Well, this is one up for the girls cuz' they don't do it, it's the guys who're the element of insanity.
How many of us all have seen girls' names written on the walls? Things like 'I love you Deepika', 'Please take me home with you tonight i'll show you the moonlight' ? I mean, you seriously felt that your beloved is going to read it? Damn !
Jokes apart, I mean seriously, nobody likes to clean up someone else’s mess and so it makes sense for everyone to CLEAN UP after themselves throughout the day to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness. Some people who are the first to turn up their noses in dirty, smelly toilets are themselves to blame for breaches of good toilet etiquette.
Hence, many places like restaurants, bars etc. have started to use this quite factual posters right in front of the pot:

So the next time you feel like using this 'sacred' place for the germs and filth, please bear in mind that you're not the sole user. People have visited it before you and people will visit it after you.
You want to feel and be a human? Please consider cleaning up your own mess, if you cause any while you're there.

..And I turn into a Relationship Expert !

"We're not an item. We just act like one."

Sometimes the good things in life are the ones where you don't have to call out the obvious, it just is what it is. Apparently even I don't know what it is.......
I guess at the end of it, this wraps up my understanding about relationships between people. Why people have the relationships they have. Why some people who commit to lovey dovey things everyday still break up and why some people who barely do it can stay together for a lifetime.. I finally get. It's all about trust.
There is no such thing as the perfect person nor is there a fairy tale ending, but I still believe that there are such things as a perfect relationship. Relationships where strengths compliment each other's weakness, where equals and opposites are at the right place. Perfect relationships exists…it's just that we have to bring it out and thats where things start to go wrong.
It is sad that the cynicism and unsaid insecurities are the diseases of the generations today. We live in a world where we always keep that part of us away from the world because we don't want to end up being hurt. The sad thing is…it's that very sense of distrust for the world that makes the world the miserable shell it is now.
How many times have we had opportunities lost because we were too afraid to grab the chance? How many times have we had things we have destroyed because we were so scared we were going to lose it anyway? How many times have we had the people we care for walk away because we didn't believe in them to care for us? Too many times I have seen it. Too many times I have lived it. I think it's time to change that.
Relationships with people are all about that trust. Trust to watch your back. Trust to care for you. Trust to believe in their abilities. Trust to open your heart to them and let them take you higher. How deep the bonds go between people depends on how well you trust a person to be themselves with you. Without that, no relationship would go anywhere.
And it shows…in the way we do things between people. Why do couples act all lovey dovey? Because when you think of it, touch is a way you can reassure each other that you're there for them, that you can trust them to be there for you. Why do friendships fail? Because you eventually realise that you can't trust a person enough to watch your back when the chips are down. So when you boil it down to that simple equation…all you need is to know the reasons why you trust a person. It doesn't have to be that you have to feel them. it doesn't have to be that you have to tell them. It just has to be that you are there when you need to be there.
I'm not saying that trust is something you should give freely. As I said, the world is a place that can burn you. It's just that by the end of it, the choice for how you want your life to be is entirely yours. You can take a chance and give your trust to people that earned it. Or you can take the chance losing out a life where anything is possible. I trust you can make that right choice. I really do.....
